While our programs are developed in partnership with INSEAD, they are unique. This means that you will not find programs at INSEAD that match ours 1:1. We strive to always incorporate a Scandinavian perspective.
International top placement and top ratings
INSEAD’s status as a world-class business school is evidenced by its top rankings from numerous internationally recognized media outlets. Notably, INSEAD’s Executive Education – Customized Programmes was ranked as the number 1 in the world by the Financial Times in 2024. This is a position INSEAD has achieved multiple times in the past, consistently maintaining its top position in various business school rankings.
The excellent rankings naturally reflect on the educational programs that Scandinavian Executive Institute collaborates on with INSEAD. Both the Executive Management Programme and the Executive Board Programme consistently receive average ratings of 4.7, where 5.0 is the highest possible score.
International business school of exceptional quality
INSEAD has been a global leader in education and research for six decades. The MBA program began in Fontainebleau, France, in 1959. In 2000, the Asia Campus opened in Singapore, making INSEAD the first business school with campuses on two continents. The Middle East Campus in Abu Dhabi followed in 2010, with a focus on innovation. The San Francisco Hub in North America is the latest international initiative, building on over 60 years of expertise.
The international dimension provides INSEAD’s MBA and executive students with a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and be inspired by a wide array of cultures and international perspectives. Additionally, the three campuses ensure that faculty members and professors have a diverse international and cultural background, allowing them to contribute a wide range of expertise and approaches to various issues, solutions, and methods.
Each year, INSEAD welcomes no fewer than 1,400 students into its MBA and PhD programs, and over 11,000 into its executive programs. The professors come from 40 different countries, while the students represent 170 different nationalities from 159 countries.
60 Years of Research and Teaching
INSEAD was founded in 1957 in Fontainebleau, just outside Paris, France. The entire founding concept of the school was based on an initiative to strengthen international business development and cooperation. This collaboration was originally initiated by the Marshall Plan shortly after World War II. The vision was that if businesses and thus countries worked together on economic matters, it would improve the overall foundation for world peace.
The focus on international collaboration in research and education remains at the core of INSEAD’s values to this day. This commitment has ensured that the school, headquartered in Fontainebleau, France, is regarded as one of the most internationally oriented business schools in the world.
Learning Environment and Areas of Expertise
INSEAD strives to create an open-minded learning environment that brings together people, cultures, and ideas from around the world to develop leaders and transform organizations. Through education, the goal is to cultivate responsible and reflective leaders and entrepreneurs who can generate value for their organizations. Through research, the aim is to push the boundaries of knowledge and impact business practices.
INSEAD’s educational and research programs encompass all traditional business areas such as strategy, management, finance, accounting, organizational development, technology, marketing, and innovation. INSEAD is a pioneering force in developing methods and theories within these fields, with theories that are known and recognized worldwide. For instance, the Blue Ocean Strategy, developed by INSEAD professors W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne, is a notable example.
