Program Overview

Board Program with an International Perspective

Focus on the complexity of the furure’s board work

Key focus of the Executive Board Programme is legal and accounting aspects ensuring company control from a board perspective besides highlighting the board’s role partly as strategical sparring partner and partly as developer of the company.

Please note that the Executive Board Programme is a modular programme and as such is divided into 2 modules.

Module 1 –  2 days in either in Kolding, Denmark or in Oslo, Norway
Module 2 –  4 days at INSEAD Business School, France.

Module 1

Module 1 focuses on placing the work of the board in a Danish or Norwegian context, which creates a solid foundation for understanding the board’s responsibilities and duties in relation to legislation and Danish or Norwegian practice. We also take a closer look at how the board’s collaboration with the company’s management is subject to a number of legal frameworks that are of great importance in relation to the agreements entered into between the board and management, regardless of whether these relate to employment, remuneration or termination of the collaboration.

In addition, through practical cases, provided by the responsible chairman, we have the opportunity to dive into a number of the key focus areas for the board. This includes the consequences of different ownership structures, the composition of the optimal board, the role of the board in the strategy process and a number of practical methods and tools.

An important part of the board’s work is also the company’s and the board’s communication with the outside world, not least in crisis situations. Here you will be inspired to become a better communicator, as well as to handle the difficult communication tasks professionally, and with the right timing and focus in relation to an outside world that requires answers here and now.
