Focus on the complexity of the furure’s board work
Key focus of the Executive Board Programme is legal and accounting aspects ensuring company control from a board perspective besides highlighting the board’s role partly as strategical sparring partner and partly as developer of the company.
Please note that the Executive Board Programme is a modular programme and as such is divided into 2 modules.
Module 1 – 2 days in either in Kolding, Denmark or in Oslo, Norway
Module 2 – 4 days at INSEAD Business School, France.
The Module 1 will address the board work in a Danish or Norwegian context and will and will create a solid foundation for an understanding of the board’s responsibility and obligations in relation to the legislation. We look closer into the challenges that you as a board member are confronted with, both now and in the future, and discuss how you individually and in interaction with the rest of the board can manage the challenges in the best possible way. In continuance of this we examine the relation between the board and management, and how the relation can be strengthened in such a way that the board contributes to an increase in value creation.
We recommence the legislative theme in an employment related perspective and discuss which aspects that must be considered. We also focus on the meaning of efficient and clouted communication. You will obtain powerful instruments to communicate with stakeholders and an insight into how the board deals with communicative challenges in the best way possible.
At INSEAD, you will meet some of the world’s best professors. Strategy has key focus at INSEAD – what defines strategy and how do we rely on strategy on the way to an effective and value-creating board – these are just some of the questions answered. With emphasis on board surroundings, shareholders, M&As, effective board communication, etc. board work is visualized in a perspective of case studies and interaction between participants.
