Signe has previously participated in the Executive Management Programme INSEAD, the Executive Board Programme INSEAD, and has just completed the Advanced Board Programme INSEAD.

“I received my first board position three years ago and simultaneously attended my first board education, the Executive Board Programme. Since then, I have taken on additional board roles, and it is therefore important for me to continuously develop my board competencies, so I have a solid foundation, am able to contribute to the strategic direction, and provide guidance in the companies where I hold board positions,” explains Signe Horn Rosted.

Strong Professors
She feels that she is returning with a new, robust program that supports her board ambitions.

“As with the other programs I have attended, Scandinavian Executive Institute has managed to create a very good framework for strong learning in collaboration with INSEAD. The Advanced Board Programme maintains a high level and is almost like a ‘maggi cube’—strong expertise in a well-compressed program. As with previous times, I experience a strong lineup of professors who also challenge us participants to contribute. Additionally, Stanislav Shekshnia leads the new board program exceptionally well,” says the Vice Director.

Unique Board Network
She highlights three key learnings that she considers important takeaways from the program in France.

“One relates to our role as board members in guiding companies to develop adaptable strategies for change. Next, I want to emphasize the board member’s value basis. As a representative of the company, you need to be able to elevate the company to a higher level, with a strong professional grounding. Finally, understanding that digital competence is fundamental today and being able to help the company navigate the current digital context,” she says, continuing:

“Overall, I have acquired an extensive toolkit that I can use to optimize my board work. Additionally, I feel that I am stronger in my board roles and have a solid belief that I have something valuable to contribute. Despite the short time we had together, the networking aspect was truly unique. The first networking meeting is already on the calendar, and I now have both a board network and an experience network. It is powerful,” concludes Signe Horn Rosted.
