Jesper Lok

Lecturer in strategy and professional chairman

Jesper Lok is a recognized lecturer, inspirator and teacher of business strategy and board-related topics. He is chairman of the board in Dagrofa, Vestergaard Company and Unicef Denmark as well as a board member in many other companies. In addition, he has an extensive earlier management career including positions as former CEO at DSB, Falck Emergency and Dagrofa, as well as country manager in A.P. Moller-Maersk.
In the strategy sessions of the Leadership Acceleration Programme, under the heading “Making Strategy Fly”, he will, among other things, present new tools and methods for how successful companies can shape their strategies in a changing world, how to build resilience and become able to “reinvent” themselves in an ever-changing and turbulent environment.
The new methods and theories are made tangible through concrete examples and cases, which draws upon Jesper Loks extensive experience as chairman and CEO, and which also sets the stage for the further strategy sessions at IMD.

Rupert Millington

Director & Co-Founder Curious Industry, London

Rupert Millington is a consultant on strategic innovation and works to identify and develop new products and brands. He has designed and delivered some of the marketing industry’s most successful innovation systems and education programs, and has been responsible for creating global communication strategies for clients such as Dyson, Philips, IKEA and Heinz. He has worked at Y&R (in London and Stockholm), and most recently was global head of strategic innovation at the communications agency, Aegis plc.

Jesper Klit is one of the most popular and inspiring European speakers in the fields of communication and leadership. He is the CEO of Jesper Klit & Partners and previously worked at the Danish newspaper Weekendavisen, the Danish television station TV2, as well as at the Danish company Nordisk Film TV, where for six years he was the CEO. Jesper specializes in the development of personal communication, media coaching, and business storytelling. He advises a number of companies and leaders – from prime ministers to CEOs – on issues relating to personal and strategic communication. Furthermore, he is the author of several books on media, communication, and leadership.

Patrick Reinmoeller

Programme Director & Professor of Strategy and Innovation, IMD

Patrick Reinmoeller is Professor of Strategy and Innovation at IMD. His teaching, research, and consulting focus on strategic leadership and innovation.
He has led public programs on breakthrough strategic thinking and strategic leadership for senior executives, and custom programs for leading multinationals in fast moving consumer goods, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and energy on developing strategic priorities, implementing strategic initiatives and managing change. More recently, his work has focused on helping senior executives and company leaders to build capabilities to set and drive strategic priorities.
In addition to his work with multinational companies, he is currently an angel investor and non-executive director of a start-up. Inspired by his work with companies all over the world, such as IKEA, Toyota, Dimension Data, United Nations and Sense Worldwide, he has written numerous case studies and developed simulations on the topic of top teams and decision making.

Howard Yu

Professor of Strategy and Innovation at IMD, IMD

Howard Yu is Professor of Strategy and Innovation at IMD and will teach digitalization and digital leadership at the Leadership Acceleration Programme.
In 2015, Professor Yu was selected by Poets & Quants as one of the World’s Best 40 Under 40 Business School Professors. Besides having published in academic journals, such as Business History Review, his writing has also appeared in popular media outlets, including the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Forbes, MIT Sloan Management Review, the Financial Times, the Straits Times, SCMP, and Shanghai Daily. Interviews and quotes have appeared in Bloomberg News, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, CNBC, and China Daily.
He is a two-time (2013 and 2015) prize-winning case writer awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)—Europe’s largest network association in the field of management development, with more than eight hundred member organizations. More recently, Yu was awarded for his work in the “outstanding case writer on the hot topic Big Data—Risks and Opportunities” category at the 2017 Case Centre Awards, which are called the business school Oscars by the Financial Times. He was shortlisted for the 2017 Thinkers50 Innovation Award, and then in 2018, appeared on the Thinkers50 Radar list, of 30 management thinkers “most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led.”

Ina Toegel

Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change, IMD

Ina Toegel is Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD. Her teaching activities invoke experiential learning and focus on a range of topics – from leading self and leading high-performance teams, to emotion management and leading organizational change.
Ina Toegel’s research focuses on team dynamics, organizational change management, top management teams during corporate renewal, and founder influence.

Ina has conducted research in several industries, including infrastructure, hospitality, luxury and additive manufacturing. Her program directing and teaching experience includes leadership programs with companies such as Pirelli, Legrand, UEFA, Bank of Communications, Bayer, Electrolux, ASSA ABLOY, T-Systems, Carlsberg, JTI, Hydro and Tenaris.

Prior to joining IMD, Professor Toegel taught at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. She holds a PhD in Management from INSEAD (France), an MSc in Management Research from Saïd Business School, Oxford University (UK), and a BA degree in economics from Columbia University (USA).

Cyril Bouquet

Professor of Strategy & Innovation, IMD

Cyril Bouquet helps organizations reinvent themselves by letting their top executives explore the future they want to create together. For example, when the French authorities proposed to merge SNCF (the French train operator) with RFF (the railway owner), Cyril Bouquet designed and delivered a pivotal meeting for their Top 650 leaders aimed at helping the new organisation transform into one united force capable of embracing the future and letting go of the past. He pioneered the mega dive approach to orchestrating discussions for big groups of executives, which has been successfully implemented on a number of other programs at IMD (such as EDF and Stora Enso).

As a professor at IMD, Cyril is doing research that has gained significant recognition in the field. His PhD dissertation won the Academy of International Business 2004 Richard Farmer Award. Since then, he’s published one book “Building Global Mindsets” (2005), and several academic articles in the most prestigious academic journals, including Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of Management, and the Journal of Management Studies.

Mark Greeven

Mark Greeven

Professor of Innovation and Strategy, IMD

Mark Greeven is Professor of Innovation and Strategy at IMD and programme director of the Leadership Acceleration Programme IMD. Drawing on a decade of experience in research, teaching and consulting in China, he helps organizations to innovate in a turbulent world. He has been collaborating with innovative Chinese companies and entrepreneurial multinationals to explore novel ways of organizing, accelerating corporate innovation, designing business ecosystems to thrive on uncertainty. He is also a fluent Chinese speaker.

Mark is on the “2017 Thinkers50 Radar list of 30 next generation business thinkers”, an annual ranking that the Financial Times deemed the “Oscars of Management Thinking”. He is also an author of several books on China and innovation as well as an often-published researcher in international academic journals and worldwide media.

Mark Greeven received a PhD degree from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Before joining IMD he held faculty positions at Zhejiang University in China and the Rotterdam School of Management in The Netherlands.
